Constance Vazquez, Culinary Manager
As the culinary manager at Adolescent Growth, Constance provides well balanced meals that are healthy and flavorful. Constance’s meals are never boring or bland. Chef Constance leads the delivery of nutritional meals aimed at helping our clients that struggle with eating disorders to get on an individualized meal plan tailored for their needs.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Chef Constance grew up spending the majority of her time in the kitchen. She loved to help her mother cook for their large family of nine. Chef Constance always admired her mother’s ability to bring the family together with her delicious homemade food. She especially loved birthdays because these were the times when her bother would bake and decorate special cakes. It was during those moments of shared love and happiness that Chef Constance’s passion for cooking and baking grew.
After high school, Chef Constance moved to Las Vegas and began working in small kitchens. She spent several years learning the ins and outs of the kitchen but ultimately decided she wanted to expand her horizons. She decided to go to culinary school to get a more formal education and training.
Chef Constance studied Patisserie for a year at the Art Institute of Las Vegas. It was there where she learned to bake and decorate pastries from a variety of cuisines. Following that, she wanted to continue to expand her knowledge and skills. She decided to further her culinary education and moved to Pasadena, California to attend the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. She graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts and soon after she accepted an opportunity to cook at the Epcot Resort in Walt Disney World. While in Florida, she gained extensive knowledge of cooking in professional kitchens for individualized dietary needs.
Chef Constance has continued to refine her craft by working as a personal chef, a private caterer and as a professional baker of cakes. Moreover, Chef Constance has worked with a few non-profit youth organizations and she asserts this was her “most fulfilling work”. While working with at-risk youth and children, Chef Constance taught them how to make a balanced meal, alternatives to some of their favorite fried foods, and she exposed them to her delicious cuisine. Adolescent Growth Inc. could not have been a better match for Chef Constance. She receives “raved reviews” from our clients and from our parents as they delight in her dynamic meals at the Weekend Restoration Groups.
In her spare time Chef Constance enjoys spending time with relatives and friends and baking for her large family.
