As a primary therapist at Adolscent Growth, Kellie’s treatment style is highly insightful and deeply personal. Kellie connects with her clients in a way that few other therapists are able. As she guides them through their treatment at Adolescent Growth, Kellie supports and encourages her clients in a way that helps them overcome challenges and stand on their own two feet. Kellie’s ability to perceive strengths and weaknesses and work with them effectively is second to none. Each personalized treatment she delivers is tailored precisely to the ever-changing needs of the teens in her care.
With the intention of going to medical school, Kellie began her studies at the University of California, Irvine. However, her career path was destined to change. While studying Public Health Kellie came to appreciate the intimate connection between mental health and physical well-being. After completing an internship at a children’s mental health clinic she became certain that working with adolescents was the direction she wanted to go.
Kellie earned her Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California. While completing her Masters she worked as a Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee at a Residential Treatment Facility for homeless veterans.
What Kellie enjoys most about working at Adolescent Growth is the enormous amount of support she receives from her colleagues. When Kellie is not at work she enjoys playing soccer, watching movies and spending time with her family and her loyal terrier mix named Izzy.[/dt_text_html][/dt_column][/dt_row]
