Jori Erlander, MSW, LCSW

Assistant Program Manager

As the Assistant Program Manager, Jori utilizes her strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with and help adolescents gain a newfound sense of confidence and self-worth. She has an unwavering commitment to make a meaningful difference by helping individuals identify their strengths and build specific skills to maintain the gains achieved in therapy. Jori is a dynamic clinician who specializes in therapeutic crisis intervention. As the Assistant Program Manager, Jori provides both insightful individual/family sessions and she facilitates impactful Parenting Support Workshops. Her clinical expertise is relied upon as she gives direction to the treatment staff. 

Jori joined the Adolescent Growth team with a wealth of experience working with adolescents. Prior to beginning her journey here, Jori counseled a variety of persons and facilitated group therapy with adolescents using various psychotherapeutic techniques.  Further, Jori, worked as a social worker at a therapeutic school. She also worked at a private practice providing therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Jori has also obtained valuable experience working in inpatient hospital settings and with homeless/low income population. 

Academically, Jori received her undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with an Alcohol and Drug Addiction Minor from Western Michigan University. In an effort to quench her thirst for understanding how to help others that were hurting, she advanced and obtained her Master’s Degree from the esteemed Loyola Marymount University of Chicago. Her degree in Social Work Advance Standing Program with a concentration on Health provided her with the invaluable skill set to aid the clients we serve at Adolescent Growth. She has culminated her scholastic achievements with the coveted Licensure in Social Work. 

Jori discloses that she likes working at Adolescent Growth because, “Adolescent Growth has an amazing clinical team and a wonderful floor staff. It’s a great feeling going to work every day knowing you have a brilliant team to support you. My favorite part of the day is getting to spend time with the clients, getting to know them, and watching them grow and learn more about themselves each day”. 

Jori enjoys the outdoors a great deal. So, in her free time, she appreciates being able to go on walks in the city or catch up on some reading at Starbucks. Spending time with her family is very important to Jori as well. Her favorite time outside of work, is spent frequenting new restaurants with friends and family.
