Dana is the Program Manager at our location in Lombard, Illinois. She is a native of Chicago who brings to Adolescent Growth years of clinical experience and a fervent appreciation for the transformative aspects of clinical psychology. In choosing to pursue psychology, Dana states that the transience of the human mind is what fascinated her most; “Every experience we have every day changes us. There is never a dull or repetitive moment.” Dana’s passionate conviction to the belief that all minds are capable of change forms a cornerstone of our treatment philosophy in Lombard, Illinois.
Dana earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology & Neuroscience with a minor in Biology at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI. She completed her M.A. in Clinical Psychology at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology with an emphasis on Child & Family and she is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois. Dana has a special interest in working with children and their families which is reflected in her choice of graduate study. Her most current research interests include body-based modes of treatment for PTSD and trauma, such as Somatic Experiencing and EMDR.
For Dana, the most rewarding part of working for Adolescent Growth is seeing the great strides made by our teens on a day-to-day basis. Dana takes great pride in the fact that, through our program, she is providing teens with the comprehensive life skills they need to find happiness and lead successful lives full of meaning and hope.
When she is not working, Dana most enjoys spending time with her beloved family and friends.
